Filho do Geraldo

Filho do Geraldo is a sour, citrus and bitter cocktail made with Cachaça, with high flavor complexity.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml cachaça
  • 25 ml lime juice
  • 20 ml simple syrup (2:1 rich)
  • 3 dashes aromatic bitters
  • Ice
  • Lime peel

Method

  1. Shake the cachaça, lime juice, and syrup with ice in a shaker.
  2. Double strain into a rocks glass with ice.
  3. Add the bitters on top and stir lightly — the idea is for the bitters to stay only partly mixed in ("half-mixed").
  4. Express the lime peel over the surface and drop it into the drink.
