What is the bartender tip for a Vesper?
Ian Fleming described the Vesper in Casino Royale (1953): gin, vodka, and Kina Lillet, “shaken, not stirred”. Bond asked for a huge glass (90 ml gin, 30 ml vodka, 15–22 ml Lillet). The Educated Barfly reduces the “part” to ~22 ml and lands at ~105 ml — what fits a coupe at home. Stir, don't shake: PUNCH and the video both land on that; Bond's shake leaves the glass cloudy. Cocchi Americano is closer to original Kina Lillet; modern Lillet Blanc is lighter — if you use Lillet, you can go to 22 ml. It's not the Dry Martini (just gin and dry vermouth) or the Vodka Martini (no gin, no quinquina).
