Solstício

Solstício is a bitter, citrus and sweet cocktail made with Vodka, with high flavor complexity.

Ingredients

  • 40 ml caramel-infused vodka (recommended: Elvéra Vodka com Caramelo)
  • 30 ml Aperol
  • 25 ml lime juice
  • 20 ml honey syrup (3:1 ratio)
  • Ice
  • Ice block (one large ice cube)
  • Optional: lemon or ginger foam

Method

  1. In the shaker, add the caramel-infused vodka, Aperol, lime juice, and honey syrup.
  2. Fill the shaker with plenty of ice.
  3. Shake hard to chill, aerate, and dissolve the sugars.
  4. Set up a rocks glass (lowball or Old Fashioned) with an ice block.
  5. Double strain (shaker strainer and fine-mesh strainer) straight into the glass to catch ice shards. The drink should be a vibrant color reminiscent of orange soda.
  6. Optional: finish with a layer of foam — lemon foam is the top pick; ginger works too.
