What is the bartender tip for a Coffee and Cigarettes?
The peat smoke is the cigarette; Cabra Lab's coffee is the cup. Bourbon or an unpeated blend does not cover it — the smoke is missing; another peated single malt does. Cabra Lab is the liqueur in the video; Kahlúa is sweeter and fights the rosso. Rosso is sweet red vermouth; dry vermouth comes out thin, without the wine. Chocolate/mole bitters are the bridge (cocoa and a little spice), not Angostura. Stir in a mixing glass and strain with no ice. It is not the Revolver (whisky and coffee, shaken, no vermouth), the Coffee Negroni (Campari in place of the bitters), or the Espresso Martini (vodka, espresso, and foam).
